Press release: public participation must be real, not ceremonial

The Peoples Democratic Party has urged public bodies to move beyond attendance registers in public participation exercises.

The party proposes that every participation process end with a published report showing which citizen submissions were adopted, which were rejected, and on what grounds.

This, PDP says, is the minimum standard for a country whose Constitution places sovereignty in the hands of the people.
