In government: public participation with published feedback, open budgeting, and citizen recall of non-performing structures within the law.
Fairness is a duty of the state, not a favour to the poor.
PDP rejects an economy that grows while households sink. Public resources must first secure the basics of a dignified life.
In government: targeted social protection, equitable school and health funding, and legal aid for low-income citizens.
Wealth is created by working Kenyans and must return to them.
PDP backs the informal sector, SMEs and cooperatives as the real engine of employment rather than a marginal concern.
In government: affordable credit for small enterprise, fair taxation of low-margin traders, and local value addition before export.
Kenya is stronger governed as one nation of equal citizens.
PDP treats ethnic mobilisation as a threat to development and organises deliberately across all regions.
In government: inclusive public appointments, national cohesion programmes, and equitable regional development.
The Constitution binds the powerful, not only the ordinary citizen.
PDP defends the independence of the Judiciary, Parliament and commissions, in office and in opposition alike.
In government: full compliance with court orders, respect for oversight institutions, and no extra-legal directives.
Development is delivered closest to the people it serves.
PDP supports a fully resourced devolved system with counties held to real accountability standards.
In government: timely disbursement to counties, functional transfer with funding, and published county performance reports.
The majority of Kenyans cannot remain at the margins of power.
PDP guarantees young people and women meaningful positions in party structures, not ceremonial slots.
In government: enforcement of constitutional gender thresholds, youth enterprise funding, and paid apprenticeship pathways.
Where you were born must not decide how far you can go.
PDP works to remove the barriers of geography, disability, gender and class from access to public goods.
In government: merit-based recruitment, accessible public services, and investment in historically marginalised areas.
Public office is a trust with consequences.
PDP requires its officials to declare interests and to submit to internal discipline for abuse of office.
In government: lifestyle audits, recovery of stolen assets, and protection for whistleblowers.
Rights are not privileges granted by the state.
PDP opposes arbitrary arrest, police brutality, censorship and suppression of assembly.
In government: independent police oversight, protection of press freedom, and prompt access to justice.
