Seek a PDP ticket
If you intend to contest on a Peoples Democratic Party ticket, review the eligibility criteria, nomination fees and official payment details below before submitting your expression of interest.
Who can apply
- Be a registered citizen of Kenya and a registered voter in the area you intend to contest.
- Be a fully registered member of the Peoples Democratic Party through the ORPP system (ippms.orpp.or.ke or *509#).
- Not be a member of any other political party at the time of expressing interest.
- Meet the constitutional and IEBC requirements for the seat you are seeking, including the educational qualifications where applicable.
- Have no adverse record on integrity — Chapter Six of the Constitution — and provide valid clearance certificates where required.
- Subscribe to the party constitution, ideology, code of conduct and nomination rules.
- Pay the applicable non-refundable nomination fee for the seat and attach the bank deposit slip or transfer confirmation.

All nomination fees are non-refundable. Youth, women and PLWD aspirants pay 30% less than the regular fee for the category they are contesting.

Confirm your PDP membership
Register or transfer to PDP through the ORPP portal at ippms.orpp.or.ke or by dialling *509#, then confirm your membership status.

Express interest
Complete the aspirant expression of interest form for the seat you intend to contest and submit it to the party secretariat.

Pay the nomination fee
Deposit the applicable nomination fee to the official party Co-operative Bank account and retain the deposit slip or transfer confirmation.

Submit your documents
Attach your ID, voter details, academic certificates, statutory clearances and proof of payment for vetting by the National Elections Board.

Vetting and clearance
The National Elections Board vets all aspirants and communicates the outcome, nomination timetable and certificate issuance.
